Run went well, I found someone who runs (about) the same pace as me and didn't want to run/walk. Although I think I slowed her down a bit...sorry Katy! I had to take two walk breaks...I'm still not back to where I want to be as far as endurance goes. I ran 9.75 miles in 1:40, which is above a 10 minute pace...we were doing well until I made us walk! Grr...
New shoes didn't feel that great, so I'm going to give them one more shot tonight (if I have time) and will return them if they don't feel better.
Also found out on Thursday that we have to move out of our apartment when our lease is up July 31st...which was a complete shock to us as we were hoping to stay there another year. Apparently the owners are moving in to do some renovations so they can lease it for higher rent. So we have been scrambling to find a new place and did some house hunting after the run on Sunday. So...on top of everything else I have going on, I have to figure in there time to find a new place and moving. It's going to be a great summer....
Tonight I will be working on:
- Sending out my TNT fundraising letters (late, I know)
- Getting the apartment ready for the dessert charity night - I stuck flyers under everyone's doors in my building yesterday (12 apts on 12 floors!) so I hope I will have some people show up....
- Going grocery shopping for the desserts I am baking (monkey bread and blueberry pound cake!) I'm hoping that Publix will donate some of it...
- Laundry
- Studying
- ....and I hoped to get a run in there somewhere?
If you're in Chucktown, I better see you at my place Thursday night...email me for deets!
Yikes, you sound like a busy girl!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the 10-miler, even if you're not happy with it. 10 miles is a long way, lady! Remember that.
Craaaazy! If it's not one thing, it's another. Luckily, it seems like you've got things under control.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the 10 miles. :)
What running shoes did you get?
Good luck with your to-dos...and hope the new shoes feel better today!

ReplyDeleteHope your dessert fundraiser is a SUCCESS! Sucky deal with the extra added stress of finding a new place, packing, moving, and unpacking. Bleck.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're enjoying the TNT experience so far - good luck with all the craziness!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing so much, and it all sounds like a lot of fun - except for the moving. Just take a deep breath every once and a while and you'll be fine!
ReplyDeleteBreathe in. Breathe out. Atta girl! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how the best time to blog is when you're busy and have so much to blog about, but you don't have time to blog because you're so busy! I'll be thinking about you and your craziness!
